Revitalizing mathematics education should depart from self-reflection educators individually and factual condition of practice reflection of learning it. Such reflection will be useful to know the positive aspects as well as shortcomings or weaknesses to be used as input for determining the steps or attitude towards the existence of a new paradigm in the field of education and then trying to implement into real practice.
Revitalizing mathematics education is an effort toward which the practitioners of mathematics education are given the opportunity to conduct a self-reflection, for then is exposed to a multiple-entry position-taking on the basis of an in-depth study of a new paradigm has to offer. Recognized that it is not easy to realize the education revitalization without awareness and greatness of soul both macro and micro his world our education.
In order to be better able to embody the revitalizing teacher (education) of mathematical learning that fosters the creativity of students then, referring to recommendation Cockroft Report (1982) as well as outlining of Ebbut, S and Straker, A (1995), the following is a suggestion that may be beneficial to the learning of mathematics teachers in organizing, through the preparatory phase, the phase of learning, and evaluation stages as follows:
a. the preparatory stage of teaching
plan learning environment,
planned activities.
b. stage of learning
develop the role of the teacher,
set the time to whom and when to undertake activities jointly or not with students.
c. stage of evaluation
observe the activities of students,
evaluate yourself,
judging process, understanding, skills, facts and results,
assess results and monitor the progress of students.
